Active Travel to School for COP26

As part of the Let's Get Moving for our Planet challenge, travel actively to school this month!

Turn car rides into strides as you embrace Active Travel on the school run with your little ones! Did you know that during morning peak traffic times, one in five cars on the road are taking children school, contributing to congestion, air pollution and carbon emissions? Travelling actively during the COP26 Climate Conference from October 31st to November 12th will help reduce these emissions massively! Think about how much CO2 you could save!

By embracing active travel on the school run, not only will you save money and reduce carbon emissions, but 15 minutes of daily exercise can significantly improve your child's mood, whilst lowering their stress and anxiety levels! Studies also show that active travel can increase concentration levels in children from up to 4 hours, meaning they will arrive at school ready and prepared to learn!

If you haven't already, make sure you visit the Active Challenges page to sign up to the Let's Get Moving for our Planet challenge and log your commutes to the Activity Tracker for your chance to win BIG prizes and save the planet!

Let's get moving for COP26, let's get moving for our planet!
