Beat the Street returns to Loughborough!

Beat the Street - The game will start on Wednesday 2nd March 2022 and end on Wednesday 30th March 2022.

What is Beat the Street?

Beat the Street is a fun, free and all-inclusive exercise game that aims to get the local community active. The game works by collecting Beat the Streets fobs and maps available at local distribution points, scanning your Beat the Street card on sensors called beat boxes, which are located throughout Loughborough and scoring points for yourself or your team. There is the opportunity to win some great prizes! In order to score points, you must scan your card on one beat box and then walk, cycle, or run to the next one, which will score you ten points and so on.

What do I need to play?

Children in Primary Schools require fobs and maps to take part in the game. These fobs and maps will be sent directly to each Primary School involved, along with a parent pack. Anyone else in the community, needs a fob and a map which can be collected from distribution points soon. These will be listed on the Beat the Street website. How do I take part?

- Pick up a fob and map from a distribution point

- Visit https://www.beatthestreet.me/loughborough/ to set your team up. Please note that in order to be able to win prizes, your team must have 6 or more members.

- Distribution points will be available on the website.

Beat the Street and COVID-19

- Beat the Street is COVID safe.

- All beat boxes will be sanitised regularly.

- You collect points by using your fob in a contactless method.

- You do not need to touch the beat box.

- Everyone is encouraged to wash their hands before and after playing Beat the Street

- Fobs should not be shared.
