Holiday's Together have helped over 1900 children & families this summer!

Funded by The Department of Education, Active Together works with Leicestershire County Council to deliver on the Holiday Activity & Food Programme, a national programme which has been campaigned by Marcus Rashford. You may have heard of this branded as Holiday's Together within Leicestershire.

Locally, we grant local community providers & schools funding to deliver Holiday Programmes for Benefits Eligible Free School Meal Children. In the summer the children were able to attend a camp 4 days a week for 4 hours over 4 weeks! The holiday providers delivered a variety of fun & engaging activities including a healthy meal! These camps are provided to tackle holiday hunger & social isolation whilst the children are out of school.

This summer saw us deliver camps with 31 providers, covering 65 venues across the county. We helped 1930 children have a safe place, healthy meal & summer of fun through Holiday's Together!

"It has been an amazing summer, we have had a packed venue every week with so many children leaving with smiles on their faces! Lunchtime is one of their favourite times of day and its so rewarding to see the children being able to make friends, try new things & avoid going hungry! We love HAF!"
