British Cycling Talent Development Pathway opportunity now available for female riders!

British Cycling is currently looking for the next generation of Female Endurance Cyclists. If you or someone you know enjoy sports that are fast and tactical this could be the perfect opportunity!

Later this Spring, British Cycling are launching the Talent ID initiative (funded by Sport England) with the hope of identifying potential female riders born in 2008 and 2009. The aim of the initiative is to find athletes to eventually progress into their Talent Development and Performance Pathways.

If you or someone you know are interested in the Talent ID Initiative, the first step will be to complete the application form in the link below by Friday 28th April 2023. Following this date, if successful, you will be invited to attend one of 3 testing days across the country throughout May and June.

Candidates will need to be born in either 2008 or 2009 to be considered for the Talent ID Initiative and be eligible for a British Passport. Candidates do not need to have ridden on a velodrame before or have any past racing experience, however basic riding experience is essential. This could be as simple as riding a bike for fun when they were younger.
