Leicestershire Schools Table Tennis Association Finals 2023

On Saturday 22^nd April, all 8 Leicestershire County Schools Champions represented their county in the Table Tennis England Schools Individual National Finals, held at WV Active, Aldersley, Wolverhampton. Over 300 young people from across 51 school counties took part across all age groups, including Under 11, 13, 16 and 19 for both boys and girls.

All players representing Leicestershire performed very well and the standard throughout the competition was extremely high. A special mention to Roma Morjaria of Beauchamp College who managed to reach the last 16 stage of the Under 19 girls competition.

Congratulations to all the other Leicestershire champions who represented the county at these finals, hopefully gaining some invaluable experience along the way. Representing Leicestershire in the Under 11 competition were Amy Cansdale from St John the Baptist (Leicester) and Charles Rowell from St Peters (Market Bosworth).

In the Under 13 competition there was Catherine Lv from Leicester Grammar School, and Hudson Reid from Castle Mead (Leicester). In the Under 16 competition our representatives were Isabelle Knight from the Market Bosworth School, and Kai Bhakta from Brookvale (Groby). Our final representative in the Under 19 competition was Kalan Bhakta, also from Brookvale.
