Swim England have partnered with Sporting Equals for their awards evening. The Sporting Equals Awards are designed to recognise and celebrate the contributions made by ethnically diverse people and communities.
Together we have created the Swim England Aquatics Champion Award. This award recognises organisations or community groups who have helped more people from ethnically diverse communities to participate in aquatics.
The criteria for this award consists of:
- Organisation or community groups who have helped more people from ethnically diverse communities to participate in aquatics.
- The organisation/community group must have helped to address inequalities and/or helped to diversify the aquatics sector.
- The organisation/community group must have made a significant impact in their local community.
- The organisation/community group must be based in England.
- The organisation/community group must be involved in at least one of the following aquatic disciplines of: swimming, diving, water polo or artistic swimming.
