This research aims to understand how those working across the industry from National Governing Bodies of Sport to grassroots sports clubs and leisure facilities can better support more women already engaged in their main sport to participate more often and for longer.

This report looks at how women's experiences of different sports change through their life stages and identifies opportunities for the sector to help more women enjoy a longer and more connected sporting journey. The insights in this report will help to change the narrative in women's sport from "I wish I had returned sooner" to "I returned as soon as I was ready!".
