As we are being encouraged to be Active At Home, local clubs/organisations/instructors are now delivering virtual classes to ensure you are not missing out on your favourite classes. It is also the perfect opportunity to try something new!

Our Get Active Search Engine will help you to find a range of virtual classes being led by providers across Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland.

How to upload your virtual activity session

We are aware that many of our local instructors are now offering an online / virtual programme to support people to be Active At Home. As part of our new Healthy At Home offer, we would like to promote as many of these sessions as possible.

To promote your virtual offer through our Healthy At Home offer;

1) Visit our Get Active Search Engine

2) Click on add your activity, club or venue

3) Log in or Register

4) When adding or amending an existing activity use the location tab and select online (virtual location)

5) Once you have added / amended your activity, it will now appear on our Get Active Search Engine

The sessions will then be promoted within Healthy At Home and in addition there is an opportunity for you to use the #HealthyAtHome message in your own social media.

he sessions will focus on fully body toning which means big compound exercises. These exercises will break you into a sweat very quickly as many of your muscles and all of your big muscle groups, chest, back, legs etc will be constantly working. Only a set of dumbbells and resistance bands needed. You will be advised on how to perform all exercises safely and effectively.

LIIT is Low Intensity Interval Training. The class consists of 5 Tabata Circuits (4 mins each) to provide a full body tone at a low intensity level. Suitable for all ages and fitness levels but great for beginners and older clients.

Taking simple Bhangra moves but turning the energy levels up by adding more movement and intensity to the moves has increased the calorie burn of each of our routines. The steps are kept simple but you are taught to do them well.
