About the Games

The 2021 School Games is a multi-sport event for the UK's elite athletes of school age and the aim is to create an inspirational and motivational setting, that not only provides our elite young sports people with the opportunity to thrive and perform at the highest levels, but encourages more young people to take part and succeed in sport.

The competition reinforces the experience of multi-sport events like the Olympic and Paralympic Games and Commonwealth Games.

Who will be competing

Eleven National Governing Bodies of Sport are involved in the planning and running of their competitions at this event. Of the eleven sports, three of them, Athletics, Cycling & Triathlon, incorporate disability events, and two of them, Wheelchair Basketball and Wheelchair Tennis are Paralympic only sports.
