Golf in Society - Golf Buddy
Become a Golf Buddy for Golf in Society! A golf buddy helps to facilitate golf sessions with vulnerable people with challenging health conditions such as Dementia or Parkinson's. Our participants needs a little extra support to overcome their challenges. Your role is to encourage socialisation with fellow golfers. Group sizes are very small and sometimes 1:1.
Skills/Equipment Needed:
No previous golf experience necessary (although useful). Just sharing our values namely: treating people with dignity, compassion and respect.
Fitness Level Required:
Be comfortable walking around a 9-hole golf course
What to Wear and Bring:
Comfortable and casual clothes. Please note that jeans are not allowed in the clubhouse.
Frequency of Sessions:
Every Thursday starting 4th August
Duration of Each Session:
11am-1pm - 2 hours
Risks:
Minimal - Golf in Society have delivered over 1000 golf sessions since 2016 with no safety issue
