Hello, its great to have you on board with the Active Mums Club.
Whatever stage you are at during your pregnancy or post natal journey, we hope that we are able to help you make informed choices about what, how
and when you can be active.
We want to provide you with safe and trusted information about being active and to connect you to local sessions in your area. Visit our website
for the latest information about sessions in your area, or other ways to be active -
Are you pregnant and unsure if you should be active?
Being active during pregnancy has many physical and mental health benefits and is generally safe for most women. But knowing whether it is safe for
YOU personally still leaves many women confused and even scared.
Pre-screening is an important first step in ensuring safe and enjoyable engagement with physical activities. The Get Active Questionnaire for
Pregnancy (GAQ-P) has been designed by the
Active Pregnancy Foundation to identify the small number of women who need to consult with a healthcare professional before they begin or
continue to be physically active, and to help the majority of healthy pregnant women overcome any concerns they might have about getting or staying
active. Ultimately, this self-administered pre-screening tool helps to empower women to take ownership of their health and wellbeing during their
Parent and toddler fitness classes started in May.
The Active Mums Club visited the first session to have a look and made a little video so you know what to expect.
In partnership with Loughborough Leisure Centre we are proud to announce a workout class that you can bring your little one along with you! We
understand busy parents can struggle to find time or child care to attend an exercise class. So why not bring along your little one with you?!
Sessions are on Mondays, 10-11am at just £4 per session, this includes refreshments and access to the soft play until 12.
A fantastic opportunity to get more active and meet some new friends.

Let's Get Moving at Home
Active Mums Club 'At Home' series has been created for you to try workouts, exercise routines and stretches at home. We know that sometimes you
want to get moving but for whatever reason you cant get out and about that day. The series is designed to help fill that gap for you, some are live
follow along video's and some have the instructions on the videos to follow.
A new video will be released every month exclusively to our club members first, through our newsletters. They will also feature on our YouTube
channel so if there is ever any you missed or want to try again they are all there for you.
Always make sure you warm up properly before doing any exercise and stretch after.
The video this month is a full body workout, if you are short on time this one is great and can be extended if you want to make it harder. Suitable
for after birth, once you have had your GP checks. Follow along with the video. Let us know how you find it 😊
'I'm Gemma and I've been a qualified physiotherapist within the NHS for almost 20 years, with a specialism in women's health and musculoskeletal.
I've also been a Pilates instructor for the last 16 years. In that time I've helped thousand's of women to improve their pelvic health, mobility,
strength and fitness and I continue to breakdown barriers for women who thought it wasn't possible.'
Each month we will have a chat with an expert in their field, providing the opportunity for you to ask any questions you want to those in the know.
Included will be a movement shake up, to get ready for the day or shake the day off then sit down with a beverage of choice and have a chat.
We hope you can join us live on Instagram. If you have any questions for Gemma and cant join live please just send them through to us.
We would love for you to join us for a walk, somewhere local and then have a cuppa and a catch up at the end.
We hope that it can introduce you to local places to walk and also make connections with other local mums and mums-to-be. We have looked for places
that are pushchair friendly and have a café near by. We have a few lined up but if you have any suggestions please let us know.
Our 1st walk will be on the
28th of June from Loughborough
Centre. Starting at 10am - we will take a walk to Queens park and then back round to the leisure centre where we can then have a chat and
use the soft play facility.
This is a free event and there will be some Active Mums Club goodies 😍
We can't wait to see you there.
