What's New 🤩

What's in store for you this September

Join the Conversation

There is so much to get involved in this September.

We announced our walking series and our move class events. We are so excited to see as any of you there as possible.

The Walks:

The walks are a great place to meet other new mums and mums-to-be, and the conversations both during the walk and after have been so valuable to many mums already. The walks are pushchair friendly and have a café near by for that all important cuppa. We are also open to suggestions of new places to walk in the county, so if you have any great ideas, please let us know!

Move Class:

This is a great way to test out a mum and baby class without the commitment. We are going to do some walking, some exercises and most of all have fun. Babies are welcome, if they need attention, picking up, feeding, cry, it is not a problem. We want you to be in a relaxed atmosphere where you can get some movement in between the babies schedule. Pre- registration is required but the event is free.
If you have not had your 6 week check (12 for c-section) or you have any pregnancy complications unfortunately it is not suitable for you. But if you are unsure at all please just ask us 😊 ask here

Grab a Cuppa - Ask an expert

This month we are chatting online via our social media accounts to Chloe who is a breastfeeding peer supporter and owns a bra shop, so we will be chatting about breastfeeding and exercises and making sure you have the right fitting bra, and why this is so important.

Join us on Instagram or Facebook at 10am on the 12th of September. As always we will post after for those that cant watch live. The sessions will also be available to listen on Spotify if you want to download and listen as a podcast. If you have any questions, just drop us a message.

The best way to keep up to date with dates is check our social pages as we regularly post what's going on where.

Dani joins our Ambassador Team

Meet Dani - Birth and Bloom

We have recruited a number of Ambassadors from around Leicestershire. Ambassadors are qualified pre and post natal physical activity instructors, alongside having a wide range of skills and knowledge to support mums and mums to be.

You may have seen on our social media accounts that we have welcomed another new member to our amazing team of Ambassadors.

Hi, I'm Dani

Mum of 3, Founder of Birth & Bloom and an experienced Hypnobirthing and Pre & Postnatal Yoga specialist. My sessions are all about nurturing calmness, connection and community.

As a Mum myself and with over 5 years experience supporting expectant and new parents, I understand that pregnancy, birth and navigating new motherhood is a special, yet also quite challenging time. That's why, my sessions are all about building you a supportive community and looking after your whole well-being.

I offer relaxing and supportive pregnancy yoga sessions, where you can stretch, strengthen and meet other mums-to-be, as you prepare for birth in a positive way.

And once baby is born, you'll both love Baby & Me Yoga, where you can start strengthening your body again, plus enjoy fun routines with your baby and share the highs and lows with other Mums who get it!

Dani operates in and around the Ashby de la Zouch area of Leicestershire but also has an online offer. Visit the Birth and Bloom website for more information.

Let's Get Moving at Home

Active Mums Club 'At Home' series has been created for you to try workouts, exercise routines and stretches at home. We know that sometimes you want to get moving but for whatever reason you cant get out and about that day. The series is designed to help fill that gap for you, some are live follow along video's and some have the instructions on the videos to follow.

A new video will be released every month exclusively to our club members first, through our newsletters. They will also feature on our YouTube channel so if there is ever any you missed or want to try again they are all there for you.

Always make sure you warm up properly before doing any exercise and stretch after.

The video this month is examples of exercises with weights, it gets you whole body moving with a bit more focus on upper body. Suitable for after birth, once you have had your GP checks. Male sure you always warm up properly and stretch after. Let us know how you find it 😊
