VOLUNTEERING EVENT

Voluntary Action LeicesterShire (VAL) is working with Butterfly Beacons, the Salvation Army, Leicestershire County Council's Communities Team and the Local Area Coordinators to host a face to face Community and Volunteering Showcase Event on Wednesday 13 September 10am-2pm at the Salvation Army in South Wigston.

We would like to invite your organisation/group to become part of this event and to come along on the day to take part in the planned activities. We have worked together on similar events in other areas in the past, which have proven extremely valuable for local organisations, both in terms of collaborating with other groups, but also in terms of promoting services and volunteering opportunities to the public:

Plan for the day

• 9.30am-10am – setting up stalls and getting the space ready
• 10am-2pm – stalls open to the public to come in
• 2.00-2.30pm – time to clear away and close
