Buggy Walks- A great incentive to just get out of the house!
The Active Mums Club buggy walks are a great place to meet other new mums and mums-to-be, and the conversations both during the walk and after have
been so valuable to many mums.
The walks are pushchair friendly and have a café near by for that all important cuppa. We are also open to suggestions of new places to
walk in the county, so if you have any great ideas, please let us know!
The walks are
free to join and will be happening throughout the winter. In the case of inclement weather, a decision will be made on the day if the walk
will continue. However we will
always meet for a cuppa at the start/end point so even if the walk cannot go ahead please come and see us for a brew and a chat.

here to register your interest in joining our walks.
All walks can be found on our

Walk Leader inquiry
|
Do you have what it takes to join our new Active Mums Army?
In order to continue our walks in 2024 we are looking for new volunteer walk leaders who can deliver walks on behalf of the Active Mums Club. Mums,
Grandma's, Dads even. Anyone who can support our mums to be active and sociable!
What does it entail? Becoming
a walk leader is quite simple! You will be required to take part in a 1 hour workshop which will enable you to have the knowledge needed to deliver
a good walk. You can then decide when and where you want to deliver your walking group. Every week, fortnight or month, the choice is yours! All we
ask you to do is give us notice so we can help to promote.
How do I inquire about becoming a walk leader? Click
the inquiry button and send us a message if you have any additional questions or want to be involved!

Our MOVE fitness classes have been a huge hit, so we are back with more in 2024 -
Active Mums Club presents - Mytribe fitness with Jo
📆 Friday 12th January
⏰ 1:30pm
📍 The Parish Hall, Leicester Forest East, LE3 3JE
This class will be free 🤩
There are 12 spaces.
💕 Mummy Tribe is our
45 minute INDOOR mum and baby postnatal circuit fitness class suitable from 6 weeks (10-12 weeks c section). Each class has a different
theme including boxing, total body conditioning and core. Classes are moderate intensity: we exercise for 30 seconds at a time before moving on to
the next exercise. Exercising in this way allows your heart rate to raise and recover, increasing your fitness levels, stabilising and
strengthening your body, leaving you feeling amazing.
Pre registration is required for this session -

About MOVE classes - These are are great opportunity to test out a mum and baby class without the commitment. We do more structured
exercise but, most of all have fun. Babies are welcome, if they need attention, picking up, feeding, cry, it is not a problem. We want you to be in
a relaxed atmosphere where you can get some movement in between the babies schedule.
If
you
have not had your 6 week check (recommended
for 9 weeks post c-section)
or you have any pregnancy complications
unfortunately
it is
not
suitable
for you. But if you are unsure at all please just ask us
😊

Can't make it? Don't worry! We are
working on bringing to you a series of other MOVE sessions so keep an eye on our website or social media accounts for something coming near you
soon.

Are you pregnant and unsure if you should be active?
Take the Get Active Questionnaire for Pregnancy today!
Being active during pregnancy has many physical and mental health benefits and is generally safe for most women. But knowing whether it is safe for
YOU personally still leaves many women confused and even scared.
Pre-screening is an important first step in ensuring safe and enjoyable engagement with physical activities. The Get Active Questionnaire
for Pregnancy (GAQ-P) has been designed by the
Active Pregnancy Foundation to identify the small number of women who need to consult with a healthcare professional before they begin or
continue to be physically active, and to help the majority of healthy pregnant women overcome any concerns they might have about getting or staying
active.
Ultimately, this self-administered pre-screening tool helps to empower women to take ownership of their health and wellbeing during their
pregnancy.
