What a beautiful day it was today , I played my first match for my new club and my first win for Market Overton Bowls Club in a friendly v Stamford .
We had 3 rinks of Triples , on my rink we started off a very tight game, with both sides only scoring 1 shot on each of the first few ends and I really struggled with the weight at first bowling short but by the 6th end I joined in and we took a good 6 shot lead after 9 ends. The weather was perfect and my new chair made everything so much more enjoyable. Anyway back to the bowls the scores on the rinks by the half way point Marko were up in 1, down in 1, and drawing in the other. On our rink we managed to keep a nice cushion between us and the Stamford players if we lost the end I as skip tried to keep them to only a single shot so that by the end of the match we ran out winners by 19 - 10 and the other two rinks ended 16 - 15 and 16 - 20 .

So the final score on my first game was ...
Market Overton 51 - 45 Stamford..

I really enjoyed that and I really hurt now it's well worth it, my first outdoor club match in 3 year's. I'm back baby ...
