Night 10km walk

Last night me and my mum undertook the Rutland Water night walk 10km event. never done it before and we were attracted to the distance and it being a night time event. Head torches in situ and warm hats we set off at 5pm to walk along the peninsula if Rutland water for 5kms and turn round and come back with a couple of hundred of people and dogs.
the dark did add to the challenge, enjoyed seeing the sheep stare at us potentially thinking 'what are they doing here in the dark?' but with mulled wine offered en route we were soon warm if a little wind swept. I was comparing it to SAS search and evade ( which I think was a bit of a stretch!) but it was enjoyable.

it was 2 hours 15 mins of brisk walking and it felt great, I slept really well and my head feels a little clearer. Reminded me that a good brisk walk is a mood lifter, and an attainable goal that I need to do more of in my daily life. #move more
