About English Federeation of Disability Sport

We see two broad (wider than sport) outcomes which will result from increased participation in sport and physical activity by disabled people: ◾Enhanced health and wellbeing for all disabled people ◾A more equal society in which disabled people ca

Disabled people should have every opportunity to be as active as non-disabled people. Physical activity can make a fundamental difference to disabled people's quality of life, it can increase independence and benefit our economy and yet disabled people's activity levels remain low. Our charity champions disabled people's right to participate in physical activity and sport. The EFDS Charter for Change sets out what disabled people say they need to make this possible. We are calling upon those in various sectors to commit their support for our Charter and make active lives possible, for all.
