About Yorkshire Cricket

Under the Banner of Yorkshire Cricket, the following three arms are functional:

1) Yorkshire Cricket Foundation: The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation (registered charity number 1130878) is the official charity and community arm of YCCC. Using the power of cricket, the foundation aims to make a lasting, positive impact on the lives of those living in Yorkshire. Using our four key themes; Education, Health & Wellbeing, Heritage and Participation, we use the brand of Yorkshire Cricket to affect communities all over the county, regardless of age, religion or ability.

Across all our programmes in 2022, the wonderful people of Yorkshire collectively donated over 13,000 hours of their time supporting our programmes. Since 2021, our Crick-EAT programme has provided nearly 20,000 meals to children who would have otherwise gone without.

2) Yorkshire Cricket Board: The Yorkshire Cricket Board governs the Recreational Cricket in Yorkshire.

  • Our vision is to add value to communities across Yorkshire using the power of cricket to make a difference to lives of people living here.
  • Our ambition is to inspire a generation to say that 'Cricket is a game for me'.
  • Our goal is to promote the game of cricket at all levels across the County.
  • Our commitment is to provide an environment that is safe, welcoming and friendly for everyone to enjoy the game of cricket.

Across Yorkshire there are many opportunities to get involved in cricket. Cricket is represented and played in all forms, from club cricket, cricket in schools, community cricket, disability cricket and lots more. Cricket is a key part of the Yorkshire heritage and Yorkshire pride and we continue to promote Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) at all levels of the game helping to combat racism and ensure the game of cricket is welcoming for all.

With over 800 recreational cricket clubs across the County the Yorkshire Cricket Board supports clubs in creating a fun and safe environment where everyone can enjoy the game.

3) Yorkshire County Cricket Club: We are incredibly proud of our 160 years of history and heritage at The Yorkshire County Cricket Club. The extraordinary historical moments we have hosted here at Headingley, our decorated County Championship and women's team, as well as producing the most cricketers to represent England has all established us as the most famous cricket club in the world. The Club is committed to learning from its recent challenges and is continuing on its journey to implement the change required to restore Yorkshire County Cricket Club to its rightful place as the beating heart of English cricket again. Our broad programme of transformation and improvement drives a positive future for the Club as it becomes a beacon of progress and a place for everyone, from all backgrounds.

At the centre of our transformation is our EDI Plan which can be accessed on our website. Equally important is our commitment to good governance, ensuring that the Club operates with high standards in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. It is an exciting time to join The Yorkshire County Cricket Club and help create lasting change.
