Lets Plog

The 'Let's Plog' events are in alignment with the festivals focus on COP26 , bringing together environmental matters and physical activity / health.

The events are running on Saturday 13th November and Saturday 20th November, with hub bases at Crown hills Community College and Lancaster academy.

Throughout the events (10:00-13:00 ) there will be 1 hour slots available for attendees to book on to to take part in the activity of plogging.

Simply put plogging is litter picking whilst walking, jogging or running. The plogging groups as mentioned above will go out every hour led by a leader starting and ending at the school venue, but during the time exploring some of cities open spaces/parks depending on the abilities/capabilities of the group.

In addition to the offer of the bookable plogging slots, we will also have indoor space at the school where there will be an opportunity for diabetes testing / awareness , presence of some of our United Leicester Clubs and also static bikes challenges with resources to support the awareness of how active travel has its positive impact on our environment.
