The Festival will included a variety of Paralympic sports and challenges, which will include competitive and non-competitive elements

There will be 2 County Final showcase events with school teams identified through work with their local SSPAN:

There will also be a non-competitive carousel of different Paralympic sports for young people to try. Some of these sports include: judo, wheelchair sports and badminton.

The Leicester-Shire & Rutland School Games, is part of the national 'School Games Programme'. It aims to keep school sport & physical activity at the heart of school life and provide more young people with the opportunity to compete and achieve their personal best.

It is open to all young people aged 6-18 years, of all abilities and backgrounds from every school across Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland - therefore make sure your School gets involved!

Delivered locally by us here at Active Together and the School Games Organisers (SGOs) in the 10 School Sport & Physical Activity Networks (SSPANs), the Leicester-Shire & Rutland School Games provides schools with the opportunity to enhance their existing work in school sport and create a year-round calendar of developmental and competitive opportunities for all students.

Make sure your School has the chance to get involved by contacting your School Games Organiser (SGO).
