Virtual Youth Volunteering Event
This session is aimed at young people aged 14 – 25 years old.
VAL will be holding an open discussion on how to access volunteering, what is expected when you apply to organisations and different ways to get involved as a volunteer in the local community:
- Hear from Voluntary Action Leicestershire and other organisations on the strategic direction for youth volunteering in Leicester and Leicestershire going forwards
- Take part in a short workshop and Q&A discussing the challenges with youth volunteering
- VAL welcome two speakers to the event who will share their experiences of how they welcome and involve volunteers to make a difference.

- 18:00 Welcome and Introductions
- 18:10 Breakout rooms (10mins in rooms, 10mins feeding back)
- Discuss thoughts around volunteering (questions tbc)
