The Leicester-Shire & Rutland School Games is part of the national 'School Games Programme'. It aims to keep participation in sport and physical activity at the heart of school life and provide more young people with the opportunity to participate, compete and achieve their personal best.

It is open to all young people aged 6-18 years, of all abilities and backgrounds from every school across Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland - therefore make sure your School gets involved!

Delivered locally by us here at Active Together and the School Sport & Physical Activity Networks (SSPANs), the Leicester-Shire & Rutland School Games provides schools with the opportunity to enhance their existing work in school sport and create a year-round calendar of competition for all students.

We stage a range of showcase County Finals & Festivals which give partnership school teams the opportunity to either participate representing their district, or compete to be crowned 'County Champions'!

Make sure your School has the chance to be involved by contacting your School Sport & Physical Activity Networks (SSPANs).
