Thanks to being an Active Together Champion I have been offered lots of opportunities to spread the message about getting and staying active on lots of different channels, such as social media and even the local news.

On Saturday I went one step further and accidently got myself onto Radio 1. Many of you have probably heard the Weekend Warriors segment where they give a little shoutout to all of us who work weekends. I text in every week hoping to get a shoutout. Well Saturday was my day!. I called at the local shop before bootcamp as normal, and the segment came on so I sent my usual message. 'Samantha Heap! On my way to bootcamp at Cattows Farm.' (I have a template saved by this point….)

I was luckily enough to get a call back asking to be on the show and talk to Arielle Free! I of course agreed and got to tell her all about what I do. I love sharing my story with people and to be able to get the message out there about the benefits of exercise will never get old.
