On Saturday 13th I played in the Disability Bowls England Ann Trotman Singles Competition at Gedling Nottingham.After drawing the two groups we played 3 games 1 hr 15 mins long and the two top players went into the final, I played really well in each of my group games winning all 3 I felt very relaxed and became more confident as the day went on and with 6 pts I won my group and made the final, the final was against Dave Fisher an experienced International player from Colchester it was a great game very close all the way the lead changed nearly every end , on the last but one end I managed to get a 3 shot lead and held on winning by 2 shots, what a great feeling it was to win a very close game and a great start to what is going to be an exciting year.
