Dragging myself out

Recently, I've been struggling with confidence with my running so I've taken a step back and trying to work on a faster walking pace rather than worrying about my usual run/walk.

A crisp, cold morning meant meeting up with a friend for a walk around the new Sence Valley parkrun. What a tough one! We knew there was mud but we didn't expect MUD! The middle mile consisted of deep muddy piles with people around us falling over and losing shoes... It felt more like Tough Mudder than parkrun that morning.

On the way around, I decided I would start to create an unofficial scoring system for difficulty for parkruns like the mountains are graded in the Tour de France - this one was a 5/5: mud and hills.

I'm hoping to build my confidence back up soon to run a little bit but for now I'm enjoying getting out and about and enjoying the local area.
