About Woodcote Farm
A predominantly oak and ash broadleaved woodland planted on former farmland. The old hedgerows have been retained and allowed to grow out in order to increase their value. A meadow area is sown with grassland and wildflower mix and mown once a year as a hay crop to encourage wildflower seeding. Previously blocked ditches have been cleared to encourage wetland plants and add diversity to this very informal site.
