About Wykin Community Park
The play area at Wykin Park was designed for toddlers and juniors up to the age of 14 years and was installed thanks to money left in the will of a local man called Archie Marriott. His wish being "to provide a play area for the children of Hinckley".
A multi-use games area was installed in 2008 thanks to part funding by the Big Lottery's children's play programme.
Further works to improve this site were completed in 2009 and included new footpaths, improved entrance points, an extension to the allotments and the provision of further benches, bins and signage around the site. Soft landscaping in the form of tree and shrub planting has also taken place.
