Safe, Well, Happy Group in Charnwood
Based in Charnwood, the Safe, Well, Happy group aims to support people with learning disabilities with a friendly and sociable get together where there is the opportunity to be active, play games, learn new skills and share thoughts on how the group can provide further help. Set up in 2019, the group also aims to provide information and links to services who can help participants become involved in the local community.
The group meets each month at the Old School in Quorn, with extra meetings taking place working on community based projects with Charnwood Arts and at the new community garden at the Old School. They enjoy group games like boccia, kurling and volleyball, as well as walks around the local village.

Whether you're a seasoned hiker or new to walking, there are plenty of open spaces and routes to explore.
Boccia is a sport similar to bowls for athletes with a disability. Boccia is totally inclusive and can be played by anyone regardless of age, gender, ability or disability.
