Description

The Mindful Walking Challenge aims to encourage everyone to spend time outside, connecting with nature and to boost their mental well-being.

In keeping with the Living Streets #Try20 campaign your goal is to walk 20km between Monday May 15th and Sunday May 21st. That's less than 3km each day which will take the average adult less than 30 minutes to complete. This could be broken in the three 10 minute walks to make it more achievable.

Whilst we encourage a reduction in sedentary behaviour and sitting time this particular challenge is about logging meaningful and deliberate walking activities e.g. walking to and from work/shops or a lunchtime stroll with your colleagues.

To whom it applies, it's worth noting the challenge coincides with National Walk To School Week, which might provide more opportunities to increase your step count and encourage your children to keep active.
