Places Still Available for GO GOLD Talent Camp 2019!

Places are still available for the GO GOLD Talent Camp, which is being held on 2nd March, 2019.

The camp is open to both GO GOLD Funded Athletes and non-funded athletes.

Held at Loughborough College, the day is another great opportunity for aspiring athletes of the future to improve themselves away from the track, pool or pitch. The camp will focus on athlete development and gives you access to a wide range of tools and workshops to improve training and performance.

Workshops and practical sessions will include Nutrition, Media training, Strength and Conditioning, Sports Psychology, Goal Setting and more! Specialists in these areas will come together to support us in offering some of Leicester-Shire and Rutland's most talented athletes a unique multi-sport camp to increase your confidence, individual aspiration and ambition.

This years camp has seen the introduction of a workshop running alongside aimed at parents, teachers and coaches of athletes, designed to give them a better understanding of how they can support them through nutrition, strength and conditioning and sports psychology.

Throughout the camp you will enjoy meeting athletes from different sports and be stretched and challenged to achieve your sporting best.

Any attendees must be aged between 12-22 and currently be in full-time education. Pricing for the Talent Camp is free of charge for previously funded 2018/19 & 2019/20 GO GOLD athletes. There is a charge of £30 for those not currently being funded.

T-Shirts and water will be provided, but all attendees should bring refreshments for throughout the day.

GO GOLD has already helped to fund stars of the future, including cycling stars Grace and Lucy Garner, Team GB rower Jonny Walton and England's rugby star, Emily Scarratt. If you want to follow in their footsteps, applications for the 2019/20 programme opens later this year.
