Employment Through Sport Course with Leicester Riders Foundation

OVERVIEW
The programme is designed to develop the skills of young people by offering work experience, CV writing, support with job searches and interview techniques as well as workshops and practical activities to enhance their language and communication, self confidence and team building skills.

All young people will receive continued support with our learning mentor on completion of the programme to ensure their sustained employment outcomes are achieved.

Qualifications:
All young people will be given the opportunity to obtain an NGB Basketball Coaching qualification as well as online training such as safeguarding and prevent.

How often do young people have to attend?
Young people will receive approx 48 hours of programme delivery over the 8 week course, which will equate to 1 day per week for at least 6 hours. All young people will receive £10 per week to pay for their travel expenses.

Who is eligible?
Anyone between 16-24 who is eligible to live and work in the UK and are currently unemployed/economically inactive. Young people must live in Leicester. Anyone particularly interested in sport, health and fitness are encouraged to apply.
