The incredible sport we have seen in Tokyo this summer is far from over as more than 4,000 athletes are taking part in the the Paralympic Games which got underway with the traditional opening ceremony on 24th August. Competitors are looking to win medals in the 22 Paralympic sports until the 5th September with many GB athletes looking to make their mark on the big stage.
At the close of Day 2 Team GB sit 6th in the medal table having had a fantastic day 2 at the games. Sarah Storey bought home the first gold and first medal of the games in the women's pursuit C5 followed by fellow Brit Crystal Lane-Wright who won silver to make it a Britian one-two. Also on the track Stephen Bate and Adam Duggelby won silver in the Men's 4000m Pursuit B. There were also more medals in the pool as Tulley Kearney and Reece Dunn bought home silver medals and Toni Shaw, a bronze.
