Funding support available for clubs and facilities damaged by floods

Was your club flooded during the recent storms? Are you looking for support to repair the damage? Do you require funding to do so? We have done an extensive search of our Funding Finder to try and find funds that can support you with this. Some funds are specifically for this, whilst others may be able to support you if you meet their existing grant criteria. This could include things such as replacement of equipment that was damaged or support with coaching costs to get sessions back up and running.

Government Funding – up to £2.5k. Small to medium sized businesses, in eligible affected areas, can apply for a Business Recovery Grants to return quickly to business as usual. Support may be available through councils who will annouce further details on eligibility and how to apply.

Sport England Small Grants – up to £15k. Closes 31st March 2024. The criteria has been updated and will again be accepting applications to supoprt organisations impacted by the recent storms and flooding.

Interest Free Loan for Cricket – up to £50k for clubs with a Junior Section. These loans may be able to support clubs that require additional funding to cover costs that the ECB Emergency Funding isn't able to. Please contact Leicestershire and Rutland Cricket Foundation if your club has been flooded and you need further advice or support.

Bowls England Club Loans Scheme – up to £20k. The loans covers clubshouse development and can support damage caused by floods.

Football Foundation Small Grants – up to £25k. Potential funding for changing pavillions and club houses. Contact Leicestershire County FA before submitting an application.

Howdens Game Changer Programme – Football – not sprecifically for flood affected clubs. This fund can replace, enhance and modernise kitchens to improve clubs food and drink offer. It is open to England Football Accredited 2 or 3 star clubs with 8+ teams.

Oakland Foundation Fund – not specifically for flood affected clubs/organisations. The Foundations target group is disadvantaged children under the age of 16. They fund projects to ensure children have access to sport and activities irrespective of social background or physical ability. They may be able to support the replacement of equipment lost due to flooding if you meet the aims of the fund.

LLR Community Foundation – Making Local Live Better Fund – up to £3k, closes 8th April, decision late June / early July. This fund isn't specifically for flood affected clubs/organisations. The fund aims to support local people and local communities through distributing funding from local private donors. They may be able to support the replacement of equipment lost due to flooding if you meet the aims of the fund.

Easyfundraising – on online shopping platform that gives clubs access to unlimited fundraising. It helps you to raise FREE cashback donations through your online shopping. There are monthly webinars and 1:1 support to guide you on how best to do this.
