Team Leicestershire

Team Leicestershire school sport competitions provide the traditional competitive school sport offer across Leicestershire, Leicester City and Rutland.

Team Leicestershire provides opportunities for young people who aspire towards further progression and success in sport & physical activity; either as an individual or as part of a team, through competition structures, talent pathways & performance programmes.

It is open to every secondary school – both state and independent, and aims to ensure that as many young people as possible have the opportunity to participate in competitive school sport. Enabling young people to represent their school and compete in a variety of sports / competitions at a local level against neighbouring schools, with the opportunity to progress through to county finals..

Central Affiliation for Schools

Every secondary school in Leicestershire, Leicester City and Rutland has the opportunity to affiliate to Team Leicestershire, which in turn affiliates them to 9 of our major School Sport Associations and their school competition programmes.

The affiliation also gives every school bespoke access to our online 'School Fixtures' Programme, where school staff can easily manage all fixtures and results.

The website can also be accessed by pupils and parents to view fixtures and results and the progression of their school teams to County Finals.

Hero or Heroine – David Beckham was my role model when growing up, I admired his resilience to setbacks and always thought he conducted himself respectfully. As I've got older, I also appreciate what he's done to develop football/sport in general across the world.
