About This Campaign

National School Sports Week is back for 2023, and this year the Youth Sport Trust want to make sure that all children in the UK are active for the Chief Medical Officers' recommended minimum time of 60 minutes a day. That's why this year, along with their campaign partner Sports Direct, the Youth Sport Trust asking you to 'play for fun, play for 60'!

They want families, schools and partner organisations up and down the country to take the #PledgetoPlay today. The pledge supports the government ask that children are active within school for 30 minutes a day, and then outside of school for at least another 30 minutes, supporting every child to reach the minimum amount of 60 active minutes.

The #PledgetoPlay will launch alongside the campaign on 18 April 2023. Once you've pledged, you'll be given access to a range of supporting materials and resources to help you achieve your active minutes. Their resources are tailored to suit all age ranges. With separate resources to support schools and families.
