About This Campaign
Families and people of all ages are invited to try archery and join in the fun, even if they have never picked up a bow and arrow before during Start Archery Week, 6-14 May 2023.
Visitors of all abilities and ages will be able to have a go at archery, delivered by our amazing team of qualified archery coaches and volunteers. There are no limits as to who can do archery – it's for everybody regardless of physical ability. It also has numerous health and wellbeing benefits and is well documented as a confidence-boosting sport. Just give it a go!
All equipment will be provided so participants just need to bring themselves and plenty of enthusiasm. Please note, some events may require prior booking, and some may charge a nominal fee for participation – please check with the organiser for full details.

For a Start Archery Week event the kit provided typically includes a bow, arrows, an arrow stand or quiver, an arm guard and a target. Dress for the weather and wear flat shoes. suncream and water is a good idea if it's sunny. Long hair should be tied up and glasses or sunglasses or a sunhat can be worn.
