Youth Mental Health First Aid (2 days)

Youth Mental Health First Aid courses are for everyone who works, lives with, or supports young people (8-18). They will teach you the skills and confidence to spot the signs of mental health issues in a young person, offer first aid and guide them towards the support they need. In doing so, you can speed up a young person’s recovery and stop a mental health issue from getting worse. This course won't teach you to be a therapist, but it will teach you to listen, reassure and respond, even in a crisis and even potentially stop a crisis from happening.

Youth Mental Health First Aid (2 days)

What is Youth Mental Health First Aid?

Youth Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training course, designed to teach people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis. Connect Mental Health offer a range of courses tailored for people who teach, work, live with and care for young people aged 8 to 18. The courses can be attended by anyone from age 16 upwards.

– Tools to look after your own mental wellbeing

The course is delivered in four manageable chunks:
