Welcome to Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport's (LRS) Funding Finder! There are a number of local, regional and national sources of funding available for clubs/groups, facilities, talented individuals and coaching. Use our Funding Finder below to identify the most suitable funding schemes.

Receive our 'Clubs & Funding Newsletter' - highlighting the most recent and suitable funds available. You will need to register/login, go to your 'Dashboard', then 'Account' and 'Email and Sharing' to update which Newsletters you would like to receive.

Local, Regional and National funding sources can added to the Funding Finder. To submit a funding source, you will first need to register/login and click 'Add Fund.' All submissions will be approved by LRS prior to becoming live. LRS excludes all responsibility for the sources added by 3rd party organisations.

Harborough Community Grant Fund

Harborough Community Grant Fund

The Community Grant/Lotto Fund is an inclusive fund, open to all parishes, schools, voluntary and community groups in Harborough district.
Groups can apply for up to £2,500 to support projects that enable a healthy, inclusive and engaged community.

The Hargreaves Foundation

The Hargreaves Foundation

The Hargreaves Foundation will distribute approximately £2 million per annum to organisations seeking funding to support those under the age of 18, and living with a mental health problem, physical disability or growing up in poverty through the mediums of sport and education.

Return to Disability Football Fund

Return to Disability Football Fund

up to £1,000

Funded by The FA and Sport England (Using National Lottery funding), return to disability football is a 300k fund providing grants of up to £1,000 to help clubs and organisations most in need to restart or deliver new disability football activity.

Children in Need (Small Grants)

Children in Need (Small Grants)

Eligible organisations will be able to apply for up to £10,000 per year. Organisations will not be able to apply for more than £30,000 in total.

British Equestrian Tackling Inequalities Fund

British Equestrian Tackling Inequalities Fund

£300 to £10,000

British Equestrian has been granted a further £150,000 of funding from Sport England to support riding centres that are facing financial hardship as a result of the ongoing pandemic.

The Woodward Charitable Trust

The Woodward Charitable Trust

up to £3,000

The Woodward Charitable Trust look to fund projects that help families and young people and that are aiming to improve the life chances of the beneficiaries.

The Volant Trust COVID-19 Fund

The Volant Trust COVID-19 Fund

William Colton Youth Sports Fund

William Colton Youth Sports Fund

Every year, Asda customers have the chance to vote for their favourite local good cause when they shop in store via our Green Token Giving programme.

Due to Covid, we are excited to announce that in summer 2021 Green token Giving will return via an online vote meaning you can vote from the comfort of your home whether you shop in person at Asda, online or click and collect. Wherever you are, you can support your chosen
cause.

Asda Foundation - Bringing Communities back together again

The ‘Bringing Communities Back Together’ grant will provide financial aid to local groups in two phases. Phase 1 July – September and phase 2 October – December; either through a celebration event (following social distancing guidelines) or by getting their activities and services back on track.

The Basketball England campaign #ProjectSwish, which provides free nets for outdoor hoops across the country, has a new target and an expanded remit in 2021. With lockdown finally eased and park and playground courts accessible again, Basketball England is determined to put more nets on hoops so ballers can enjoy their basketball again.

Henry Smith Charity - Holiday Grants

The Holiday Grants programme provides grants for recreational trips for groups of children aged 13 and under in the UK who are disabled or disadvantaged. This year, given the extraordinary impact of Covid-19, we have made some temporary changes to our guidelines to provide more flexibility on the types of trip we can support.

The Henry Smith County Grants programme provides grants for smaller organisations working with disadvantaged people and communities in one of eight English counties, including Leicestershire.
