Leicestershire & Rutland County FA (LRCFA) is inviting applications to join the Board of Directors as a Non-Executive Director & Inclusion Advisory Group (IAG) Chair. We are looking for individuals with skills and experience in equality, diversity & inclusion who have a passion for developing grassroots football in Leicestershire & Rutland. The IAG acts as the check and balance to LRCFA’s wider operational plans, work programmes and strategy. The successful candidate for this role will be instrumental in helping the County become a more inclusive organisation.

About Non-Executive Director & Inclusion Advisory Group Chair

Challenge and support the organisation in terms of our commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. Chair the Inclusion Advisory Group. Support in delivering the equality objectives and ensuring they are embedded across the organisation. Promote a culture of respect for inclusion and champion inclusion and equality issues across football. Support the development and delivery of a Diversity Inclusion Action Plan for the organisation. Ensure the Association achieves and maintains the Equality Standard for Sport. To serve as a Director of the Company and to actively participate in its strategic management. To meet the responsibilities of a Company Director in accordance with the Companies Act (2006) and the governance requirements of the Code of Governance for County FA's. To safeguard the interests of the Members and stakeholders of the Association. To establish clear objectives to deliver the agreed strategy and business plan and regularly review performance against those objectives in conjunction with the other members of the Board. To ensure the effective implementation of Board decisions by the CEO and staff, to ensure the effective management and delivery of the Association's strategic aims and objectives. To periodically review the management of risk to the Association, including Health and Safety. To ensure an effective corporate governance structure. To contribute to constructive debate on all Board matters. To promote equality of opportunity throughout the Association. To fully participate in Board induction, training or development and performance monitoring. To perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Board. To participate in committees of the Board where applicable.
