The team currently lead on a range of themed work areas, such as (but not limited to) Active Communities, Parks and Open Spaces, Active Travel, Active Communities, Children and Young People and Community Sport. Our iterative and flexible approach allows us to respond quickly to new and emerging opportunities, meaning that the scope of our work adapts to what is required.

Get Doncaster Moving is our whole systems approach to tackling inactivity. We are testing innovative, evidence-based solutions by working in close partnership with Sport England through our status as a Local Delivery Pilot.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for improving public health and wellbeing to join our Get Doncaster Moving team. The team currently lead on a range of themed work areas, such as (but not limited to) Active Communities, Parks and Open Spaces, Active Travel, Active Communities, Children and Young People and Community Sport. Our iterative and flexible approach allows us to respond quickly to new and emerging opportunities, meaning that the scope of our work adapts to what is required.

We are looking for an Individual who is experienced in project management, who demonstrates an understanding and commitment to the Get Doncaster Moving Principles and has excellent interpersonal skills. Knowledge of the latest local/national Physical Activity and Sport strategies and behaviour change would also be beneficial.

The successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly to provide support across our existing themed areas work, while also leading on new opportunities and themes where they emerge; to develop sustainable and innovative approaches to improve health outcomes in communities.
