Do you have an interest in health and wellbeing and how physical activity and sport can make a positive impact on the inequalities that exist in Somerset?

We are seeking to recruit up to 3 new Board members. They will be individuals who can demonstrate vision and leadership and have a track record of building relationships effective networking and making things happen. A knowledge of sport and physical activity is not a pre-requisite.

These roles would benefit from knowledge and an understanding of strategic issues that do and will influence different individuals participation in sport and physical activity. We are particularly interested in individuals who have knowledge around health, children and young people, education, disability and/or system change although not exclusively.

These are voluntary positions and for an initial 4 year period from the date of appointment. We anticipate a commitment of around 6-8 days per year. Appropriate travel and other expenses would be remunerated, and training provided where required or interested.

SASP is a growing charity, and part of a England wide network of Active Partnerships, overseen by a Board of trustees who are responsible for the governance and strategic direction of SASP. When you complete the form or send a CV, you are preparing to enter into an employment contract with Somerset Activity and Sports Partnership. If you are successful with your application the information will also be used for the determination and payment of salary, contact referees and to produce the particulars of a contract. The information you provide will also be disclosed to relevant statutory bodies where Somerset Activity and Sports Partnership have a legal obligation to do so.
