About Programme Officer

We are now recruiting a Programme Officer to be part of the team delivering our exciting Wimbledon Foundation's Set for Success programme, an intensive Athlete Mentor led, youth leadership initiative targeting young people who are most at risk of becoming not engaged in education, employment or training (NEET).

As Programme Officer you will build relationships with as well as support the Set for Success school network. This will involve engaging with Athlete Mentors, local organisations, and Set for Success interns to ensure the successful delivery of the programme and achievement of maximum impact at a local level. You will help develop the programme by drawing learning from young people and practitioners and work with colleagues to identify and promote wider opportunities to develop Set for Success. You will also create project plans, oversee programme monitoring and evaluation processes as well as ensure insight captured is used to deliver best practice and sound budget management. You will also lead the delivery of key Set for Success events, including supporting the implementation of an Awards process.

Experienced at managing programmes or supporting multiple, long term and complex projects you will have worked within the school landscape and/or the sport system where you will have gained expertise in co-ordinating work with external partners. You will possess excellent communication, planning and interpersonal skills too. Comfortable at managing budgets, you will be used to producing stakeholder reporting and co-ordinating work with external partners. You will also be effective at achieving targets and responding quickly and flexibly to changing needs and tight deadlines. Knowledge of management information systems would be an advantage in this role.

In return you will get to join a passionate and forward-thinking charity committed to improving children's lives. As a member of the team, we guarantee you will feel very much part of our mission and will experience fun, challenge and fulfilment in your role. Our values underpin everything we do, and we pride ourselves on a work culture which fosters innovation, creativity, and personal passion. Benefits include generous annual leave entitlement, health cash plan, employee assistance programme and volunteering days. In 2022 we were ranked one of the best Mid-Sized Companies to work for in the UK.
