About Holiday Activity Leader- Molly's Gift
Molly's Gift have been delivering Holiday Activity & Food Programmes since 2021 for younger children, and this year we are expanding to provide a Summer programme for older school children, aged 11-16.
The role will include leading on a range of enriching activities throughout the Summer, including trips out. You will lead sessions as organised by the Holiday Activity Co-Ordinator and assist in the delivery of a smooth and efficient programme for young people.
Responsibilities:
- Lead on various activities for young people throughout the day, as advised by the Holiday Activity Co-Ordinator.
- Encourage participation in activities and provide feedback to the Holiday Activity Co-Ordinator.
- Support the Holiday Activity Co-Ordinator in the planning and implementation of activities, providing idea's/suggestions for activities.
- Ensure that all activities are conducted in a safe and secure environment, whilst keeping to the time scales of that day.
- Assist with lunch times, ensuring all young people are provided with a healthy meal.
- Organise groups efficiently during outings/trips.
- Take responsibility for any safeguarding and safety concerns, ensuring they are reported appropriately to the DSL.
Previous experience working with young people and leading a session is desirable, though not essential.
A fully enhanced DBS is essential. We can provide this if you do not already have one.
The role will be temporary over the 6 week Summer half term, with up to 30 hours a week available. If successful, there will be other opportunities for casual work within other Molly's Gifts projects, including Saturday Club and other half term camps across the year.
