Holiday Activity Assistant - Molly's Gift

Molly's Gift have been delivering Holiday Activity & Food Programmes since 2021 for younger children, and this year we are expanding to provide a Summer programme for older school children, aged 11-16.

The role will include assisting in a range of enriching activities throughout the day, including trips out. You will act as support to our activity leaders in providing a smooth and efficient programme for the young people.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Holiday Activity Leaders in the planning and implementation of activities.
• Provide assistance to young people through the day.
• Ensure that all activities are conducted in a safe and secure environment.
• Assist with lunch times, ensuring the young people are provided with a healthy meal.
• Encourage participation in activities and provide feedback to the Holiday Activity Co-Ordinator.
• Support with outings/trips.
• Take responsibility for any safeguarding and safety concerns, ensuring they are reported appropriately to the DSL.

Previous experience working with young people is desirable, though not essential.

A fully enhanced DBS is essential. We can provide this if you do not already have one.

The role will be temporary over the 6 week Summer half term, with up to 30 hours a week available. If successful, there will be other opportunities for casual work within other Molly's Gifts projects, including Saturday Club and other half term camps across the year.
