Active Together have organised a new release of Steady Steps courses across Leicester City. Local residents who meet the criteria are encouraged to get in touch about accessing this amazing opportunity.

Falls and related injuries are a common and serious problem for older people and falls are the most frequent type of accident in people over 65. Falls have a large impact on quality of life as well as physical health. A fall can damage confidence, reduce independence and increase social isolation.

Steady Steps is a 24-week programme tailored to those who have previously fallen or worry about falling and is designed to help improve balance and stability. The programme runs across Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland and is delivered by Specialist Instructors. The classes are tailored to each individual's abilities and will progress in difficulty throughout the programme.

The course start dates and venues for Leicester City are as follows:

• Wednesday 17th January 2024 - Evington Village Hall
• Thursday 18th January 2024 - The Tudor Centre
• Monday 22nd January 2024 - Holbrook Memorial Hall
• Tuesday 23rd January 2024 - Thurnby Lodge
• Saturday 27th January 2024 - The Oak Centre

For more information and to pre-book visit Steady Steps | Active Together (active-together.org)
