About Bruce Wake Charitable Trust

The Trustees will consider grant applications related to the provision of leisure activities for the disabled but favour particularly applications whereby the potential beneficiaries meet one or all of the following criteria:

  • The potential beneficiaries are physically disabled wheelchair users – unable to raise the required funds
  • Improved access for wheelchair users is proposed
  • A sporting or leisure activity involving disabled wheelchair users is proposed – only projects with a maximum budget of £25k can be considered, the maximum grant we can award under this category is £3,000

Our grant giving policy is to make no more than one donation in any 12 month period to an organisation. 'For profit' registered companies will not be considered. Applications meeting the above criteria will be considered from charitable organisations. Applications on behalf of individuals will only be accepted through a charitable organisation or equivalent recognised body.

Trustees meet quarterly to consider grant applications.
