Salary: £26,421 (pay award pending)

Full time, 37 hours per week

(flexible with some weekend work to meet the needs of the service)

It is an exciting time to join the team and help drive physical activity levels in Barnsley through a range of activation approaches and projects. We're looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, committed, and friendly professional to join our team and contribute to what is an exciting time for cycling and physical activity.

In your role as Sport & Physical Activity Co-ordinator, you will:

Support the development and operational delivery of a cycling that are part of our service plan, which may include:

· Advice and support to the public

· Support community engagement

· Marketing and communications

· Leading learn to ride and active travel sessions in schools and community

· Volunteer recruitment and training

· Ramp Up Unit - delivery and development

· Work closely with others in the Sport & Physical Activity Team to support our wider walk, cycle and active travel offer in schools, workplaces, and communities.

About You

· You will have a relevant level 3 qualification, or relevant or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience.

· You will have experience of working within the sport & physical activity sector.

· You are flexible in your approach and are committed to helping more people feel the benefits of moving more.

· You will have experience dealing with customers and the public to create a welcoming and positive experience for them.
