About Active Through Football Project Manager
We are looking for an enthusiastic Project Manager to deliver the Active Through Football programme. Working with a consortium of different organisations and delivery partners this is a unique opportunity to play a lead role in increasing participation in football related activity in the south east of the Wakefield district.
As part of the Health Improvement Team you will work with colleagues across the Council and external partners to ensure the project engages local residents and delivers its outcomes. You will also act as the project's main point of contact, working in collaboration with the Football Foundation and Sport England, providing progress updates as required over the duration of the project. This will involve managing the project delivery plan and budget and working with the programme's evaluation and data collection partners, engaging with a broader community of learning to share best practice and learn from other places who are also receiving Active Through Football investment. More information about the programme can be found here Football Foundation | Active through Football
Experience of community engagement and working with local community organisations is essential to this role, along with experience of delivering multiple pieces of work or projects to successful completion. An understanding of inequalities and the barriers to physical activity is also a key part of this role. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to build relationships with different audiences.
