Ticket 2 Tokyo Paralympic Tennis Talent Search

October 10th sees the return of the Ticket 2 Tokyo Paralympic Tennis Talent Search with the Midlands area event held at Loughborough University.

The event will hopefully unearth potential Paralympians for the 2020 Games in Tokyo, with the Midlands already proving to be a hotbed of talent in wheelchair tennis over the past few years.

Led by one of the National Wheelchair Tennis Coaches Martyn Whait, he and a team of coaches from Inside Out Tennis coaching group will put players through their paces at the Dan Maskell Tennis Centre at Loughborough University from 1.30-4pm.

The day isn't just designed to find future Paralympians though. The Midlands has a thriving wheelchair tennis community and players of all levels are invited to get involved and meet the coaches and players already involved in the sport in the area, even if they've never played before.

The event is open to players of all ages and there are a surprisingly wide range of physical factors can lead to players being allowed to compete in wheelchair tennis, not just those with spinal injuries or amputations.

If you'd like to find out more about the event, visit the website or contact Martyn Whait: martyn@insideouttennis.com or 07970 277338.
