Push2Podium coming to Loughborough

The Tennis Foundation have launched their Wheelchair Tennis Talent ID Programme, Push2Podium at the recent British Open Wheelchair Tennis Championships. The programme aims to get new players trying wheelchair tennis and to grow the talent pool of the sport.

The Tennis Foundation are encouraging people with a physical disability to attend one of ten free wheelchair tennis festivals hosted across the country. The festivals are open to anyone of any age or ability and will take place in the autumn. Equipment will be provided and a Tennis Foundation Talent ID coach will be in attendance. Any players that show potential and catch the eye of the Talent ID coaches may be invited on to the Tennis Foundation's Wheelchair Tennis Development Squad, the first step to becoming an elite player.

Following on from the momentum of another memorable Wimbledon tournament, the Wheelchair Tennis Talent ID Programme will travel to Loughborough in November. Held at Loughborough University on November 4th, Push2Podium's three hour event is completely free and aims to get more people involved in wheelchair tennis.
